Behavior Specialist/Director of Shared Wellness

Position Description:
Are you a licensed psychologist or social worker passionate about holistic wellness and behavior support? Shared Support South is expanding its Shared Wellness division and seeking a dedicated individual to serve as the Behavior Specialist/Director of Shared Wellness. This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead the development of our wellness center in Bucks County while providing direct support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and their teams.

  • Licensed Psychologist or Social Worker preferred. Master's degree in psychology; behavior analysis acceptable.
  • Experience in mindfulness stress reduction techniques such as meditation and breathwork.
  • Strong background in behavior support and wellness practices. 

Specific Requirements and Preferences:

  • Develop Shared Wellness Center: Spearhead the establishment of the Shared Wellness Center in Bucks County, including program development and facility setup.
  • Manage Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee the daily operations of Shared Wellness Bucks County, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for all participants.
  • Direct Behavior Support: Provide direct behavior support for a caseload of individuals with intellectual disabilities, collaborating with their teams to implement effective strategies.
  • Lead Mindfulness Groups: Conduct group sessions on mindfulness approaches that promote self- regulation of behavior and enhance overall well-being.
  • Community Engagement: Facilitate community participation opportunities for program participants, fostering social inclusion and integration.

Organization Description:
Shared Support South, Inc. was founded in 2019 on the belief that individuals living with intellectual and developmental disabilities are not defined by their diagnosis and, with the proper support, are able to achieve their dreams and become valued members of their communities. We provide an array of services in Bucks and Montgomery counties. These services include life-sharing arrangements, home-based supports, and community living arrangements. We currently support more than 200 individuals across Montgomery and Bucks Counties.
