Position Description:
Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing residential group home, day habilitation and supported employment services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in 11 states. We are currently seeking a qualified and dynamic Regional Director to oversee Pittsburgh, Westmoreland, Indiana, Butler, and Washington, PA operations. This supervisory role provides guidance to the regional area. The Regional Director oversees the entire operations of their region which involves direct oversight of their programs. This includes collaborating with the local and national teams in addition to county and state entities to maintain full licensure and balanced budgets.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages the operations to ensure compliance with the 6400 and 6100 regulations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all intellectual and Developmental regulations compliance and development.
  • Implements new development for residential homes, Community Participation Support, Supported Employment, Day Habilitation programs and medical services.
  • Represents Community Options at local speaking opportunities for a variety of purposes. Including staff and volunteer recruitment, new development, community education and fund raising.
  • Participates in the PA Quality Assurance team and ensures corporate compliance.
  • Responsible for developing and overseeing proper execution of budgets. 
  • Assists the PA Vice President with special projects.

Specific Requirements and Preferences:
Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven experience managing staff.
  • Excellent time management skills, strategic choices while under pressure, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to present facts and recommendations effectively.
  • Follows the servant leader paradigm.
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, and the general public, demonstrating sensitivity to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and the company's overall public image.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • Three to five years’ experience working in a supervisory role.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
