Position Description:
As a Recruiter, you will play a crucial role in helping Access serve the community effectively. You will collaborate with the leaders of our behavioral health programs, children and family programs, and administrative departments to determine and fulfill their hiring needs. You will implement creative strategies to attract candidates who exemplify skillfulness and integrity, allowing countless individuals to receive life-enriching services.

Work Schedule: Approx. 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 9 A.M. to 5 P.M.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize online recruiting management system to its fullest capabilities.
  • Build client relationships by maintaining regular communication with department management to ensure an accurate record of all current and projected vacant positions.
  • Support Recruiting Assistant to prepare internal position postings and place external advertisements.
  • Develop partnerships with local schools and colleges and attend relevant recruitment events.
  • Develop a network of community and social media resources. Keep current regarding local job fairs and other recruitment opportunities. Represent the organization at appropriate events.
  • Source candidates using passive recruitment techniques and tools to meet weekly goals.
  • Conduct application, resume, and phone screening to determine appropriate matches for vacant positions. Determine appropriate level of support by Recruiting Assistant.
  • Refer appropriate candidates to the designated department contacts.
  • Prepare new hires for onboarding. Ensure all procedures meet agreed needs.
  • Ensure background checks are conducted timely, complete documentation for prospective candidates, and provide information to department contacts.
  • Ensure that employment-related practices and documentation meet all laws and guidelines.
  • Ensure all recruiting-related reports are prepared, maintained, and shared with appropriate staff.

Specific Requirements and Preferences:
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field including human resources and business administration (required)
  • 1+ years of related human services or human resources experience focusing on recruitment, marketing, and social media application (required)
  • Experience in a social services or non-profit setting (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license with 2+ years of driving experience, reliable vehicle, and adequate car insurance (required)
  • Must be willing to travel to other regional offices in Eastern PA as needed (required)

Organization Description:
Access Services is a nonprofit social services organization supporting individuals with special needs throughout Eastern PA. We began our work in the mid-1970s, offering community living arrangements to people who had intellectual disabilities and were transferring out of Pennhurst State School & Hospital. Since then, we have greatly expanded the variety of services that we offer to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism, and we have started many new programs related to behavioral health, foster care, crisis intervention, youth and family services, and more.
