Position Description:
The Director of Quality Resources, with the leadership of the Executive Director, is responsible to the individuals supported for ensuring all programs provided are of high quality. The Director is responsible for insuring the “people” functions of BARC Developmental Services are in accordance with the policies and practices of BARC Developmental Services, the ethical and social consciences of business and society and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations. In addition, the Director performs investigations, provides staff training, oversights quality aspects of programs, and assists with public relations and fundraising. The Director provides support to agency service departments in planning, coordination and administration of quality improvement systems, which comply with applicable regulations: analyzes critical service information and makes appropriate recommendations; prepares for all Advocacy/Human Rights Committee meetings keeping the Executive Director and Committee Chairperson well informed; oversees the agency Peer Review and Relationship and Sexuality committees; oversees and ensures accuracy and full compliance with agency med admin reports and procedures and the monthly med error data analysis for each service department. The Director of Quality Resources works daytime hours, Monday through Friday, and is based in the corporate office in Holicong, Pennsylvania. This position is expected to demonstrate support to individuals through consistent communication and practices among BARC Developmental Services sites, including assistance with maintenance of positive working relations with appropriate agencies, administrative officials, other associates and the general public. The Director may be expected to fulfill portions of other Quality Resources staff duties in the absence of another department member. The Director acts as the agency Privacy Officer and is responsible for ensuring full compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. EOE Job Type: Full-Time. 

Specific Requirements and Preferences:

  • Master's degree (MA) or equivalent; or 5+ year’s quality resources generalist experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or liberal arts.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in psychology, developmental disabilities or related field required. Five years previous clinical work experience required.
  • Demonstrated communication skills; excellent verbal and written skills; ability to analyze, synthesize and manage information; ability to lead and organize; 
  • ODP Certified Investigator - knowledge of ODP incident reporting and investigation process preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Quality Improvement Systems and processing and person centered planning concepts required.
  • Grant writing and fundraising experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of residence and acceptable driving record required (based on BARC Developmental Services Driver Safety Policy).
