Position Description:
Access Services is seeking an experienced support staff Supervisor to join our In Home Support team in the Delaware Valley Region! You will be part of a team working one-on-one to support adults with intellectual disabilities/Autism who live in our communities. Our team works with the families and the individuals to ensure the individualized service plans and goal plans are carried out in the home and community where the person lives. As a supervisor you will meet to review and update the individuals’ person centered support plans, support the families and supervise the staff, and help clients attain those goals and live their best lives. You will also have an opportunity to work about ten hours each week in the community to support the individuals and to develop relationships with their families. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate and organize home and community supports, and respite services for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Supervise the work activities of direct support professionals.
  • Ensure appropriate assignments, timely service and qualitative oversight of individuals’ outcomes as outlined in their person-centered support plans.
  • Keep abreast of developments in the field relating to the provision of services and intervention techniques.
  • Provide direct support hours to meet program and individuals’ needs. 

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday - flexibility with schedule required based on case assignments and the candidate’s availability. This position works 10hours/week in client’s homes and 30 hours/week from our Fort Washington Regional office.

Specific Requirements and Preferences:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required, in a related field including special education, psychology, public health, rehabilitation, social work or therapeutic recreation preferred.
  • Certification: Not required. Certification in First Aid and CPR highly desirable.
  • Experience: Two years of supervisory experience in social services preferred. 
  • A current valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and proof of adequate car insurance is required.
