Position Description:
Essential Duties:

  1. Oversee the training and work performance of Associate Directors and Senior Associate Directors. Assign and oversee mentors for newly hired Associate Directors.
  2. Works with Operations Coordinator to develop, monitor and revise operational budgets.
  3. Ensure overall quality of programs by conducting management audits and implementing changes as necessary.
  4. Meet regularly with Associate Directors: provide direction and guidance, promote relationships, and counsel wherever necessary. Complete and present yearly performance evaluations.
  5. Directs operations of residential programs and maintains licensures for residential facilities.
  6. Ensures that residential programs provide individual centered, cost effective services and supports.
  7. Attend county and state meetings, trainings, and events.
  8. Respond to consumer and family concerns and assist in their resolution.
  9. Participates in Management, Operations, Risk Management, Policy and Procedure, and any other Internal Committees as required.
  10. Plans the development of new programs in conjunction with Fiscal, Business and Maintenance Depts.
  11. Interview and hire Associate Directors.
  12. Ensure regular review and accountability of consumer finances.
  13. Communicate and interact effectively with consumers, visitors, families/guardians, support coordinators, day programs/schools, advocates, monitoring personnel, other agency personnel and regulatory personnel.
  14. Ensure adherence to applicable federal, state and county laws, regulations and policies.
  15. Review incident reports, investigate incidents, and take action according to LifePath policies and procedures. Become a certified investigator.
  16. Develop, monitor, and implement policies, procedures and best practices.
  17. Attend and participate in licensing surveys and enact changes as indicated.
  18. Process all PTO requests and maintain a calendar of all scheduled and unscheduled time off for Associate Directors, SR. Associate Directors, Maintenance, QA Specialist, Nurses, and Administrative Supervisor. Sign all applicable time sheets and approve all applicable time cards in MITC system.
  19. Assume or arrange for the responsibilities of the Associate Director and their residential supervisor and residential programs in the absence of Associate Director or residential supervisor.
  20. Ensure all properties/programs meet licensing requirements, are homelike, clean, safe and meet the needs of the individuals in conjunction with maintenance department.
  21. Train Program Nurses, Administrative Coordinators, Maintenance Staff, QA Specialist, and Associate Directors as new employees are hired or on new policies/expectations when implemented.
  22. Support agency public relations and development activities.
  23. Hold monthly supervisor meetings.
  24. Assume on call responsibilities as assigned. Provide timely and effective response to all calls, including weekends and holidays.

Specific Requirements and Preferences:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services Field.
  • 5 years’ experience in administration and operations in Human Services.

The Residential Program Director is responsible for the management and quality assurance of all aspects of residential program services, including the supervision of Associate Directors and relevant program/administrative personnel. This position is responsible for budgets, audits, licensing requirements, and program development. In addition, this position serves as part of the Management team which supports compliance with delivery of services to the fiscal, ethical and legal standards set forth by LifePath.
