Position Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating the planning and implementation of a service delivery system, which insures a continuous active treatment program for each client.
  • Reviews various aspects of programming such as scheduling or data collection and coordinates revisions of the current system as necessary to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines and would include observation of programs directly.
  • Shares responsibility for timely review of Behavioral Support plans and consents with the Human Rights Committee. Also ensures that signatures and other compliance requirements are met. Works collaboratively with CLA Behavioral Supports to coordinate scheduling which meets the needs of both the ICF and CLA residents.
  • Supervises and coordinates Behavioral Therapy Services with Behavior Therapist. Assists in coordinating Psychiatric and Psychological Services.
  • Responsible for coordination of assessments of program effectiveness.
  • Serves role as Child Protective Services Point Person.
  • Maintains a flexible schedule in order to meet the diverse 24/7 staffing needs of the facility. This includes being available for after hour calls and in- person response if necessary.

Directs and supervises the QIDP’s:

  • Responsible for assessing staffing needs and hiring QIDP’s. Provide support and guidance and assists as family liaison as necessary.
  • Conducts QIDP meetings as needed, or at least monthly, to ensure the efficient operation of the program.
  • Works in collaboration with the Director of ICF Resources to insure service coordination across the various departments within the ICF in a person-centered manner.
  • Responsible for implementing policy and procedure directives for the program department (QIDPs).Maintains a working knowledge of the EIM system. Is certified as an Investigator for Reportable Incidents and maintains their certification.
  • Participates in in-service training and orientation programs in order to enhance professional skills. Actively participates in learning and professional development as part of the learning culture of St. Joseph’s Center.
  • Will serve as a liaison between the Center and day programs as well as educational agencies involved in the education of school aged clients. This includes coordination of on-site observation of school programs by Program staff.
  • Consultation regarding classroom assignments and monitoring of school progress.
  • Coordinates with the Therapy Department for scheduling feeding evaluations as needed and on an annual basis. Is integral part of the admissions process: Does in-person assessment of potential referrals, helps to determine the appropriateness with the interdisciplinary team, future needs as well as where the individual will live. Provides on-going support to insure that the needs of the individual and family are being met.
  • Actively participates in standing meetings and committees and other special committees which are formed to meet the needs of St. Joseph’s Center.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations.


  • Must be knowledgeable and experienced in the area of Intellectual Disabilities and particularly Special Education.
  • Demonstrates ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills
  • Responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice in rendering active treatment programs.
  • Must be able to use data in the area of research.
  • Must have experience in Microsoft Office, Time and Attendance and HR software.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supervisory capacity
  • Valid PA Driver’s License
