Position Description:
The Director of Exceptional Adventures, a subsidiary of Partners For Quality, is responsible for the design, development, implementation and overall management of the agency providing social activities and experiences for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In addition to expected administrative functions (develop/management of budget, establishment of goals and monitoring progress, personnel management), the Director of Exceptional Adventures will create inclusive guest experiences and manage all aspects of activities including schedules, supplies, venues, transportation, reservations, etc.
Specific Requirements and Preferences:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field, preferred
- 5 years experience with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- 2 years management / supervisory experience
- Event Management experience preferred-Excellent leadership, organizational, administrative, and planning skills
Organization Description:
Partners For Quality is a nonprofit organization based in Robinson Township, Pennsylvania that provides administrative management services to other nonprofit agencies serving persons with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health challenges. These administrative services include finance, human resources, information technology, development and fundraising, communications, and staff training and development. Partners For Quality is recognized as an integral part of the service delivery system in Allegheny County serving 5,000 people annually and employing 1,000 people across the organization. Partners For Quality has five subsidiary organizations: Allegheny Children’s Initiative, Citizen Care Inc, Exceptional Adventures, Milestone Centers, and Partners For Quality Foundation.
