Compliance Officer

Position Description:

  • Responsible for the overall process of reviewing, developing, and implementing a compliance and quality management plan and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and the Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs 2380, 6100, and 6400 regulations.
  • Will lead the agencies Provider Qualifications, Monitoring, Quality Assessment and Improvement Process (QA&I), annual training, and Incident and Risk Management requirements.
  • Regularly audit the agencies procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risk.
  • Determine compliance metrics and establish a system for tracking them.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with managers, executive leadership, and appropriate staff for the purposes of achieving and sustaining compliance program goals and objectives.
  • Works collaboratively with leadership and staff throughout the agency to provide training, education, and awareness of the latest regulations and agency procedure changes/updates.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Specific Requirements and Preferences:

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher degree.
  • At least five years’ experience in an executive-level position relating to the provision of residential services to individuals with an intellectual disability, developmental disability, autism and/or serious mental illness, with responsibility for all the following:
  • Day-to-day residential agency operations.
  • Oversight of the development and implementation of residential agency-wide policies and procedures.
  • Supervision of management-level staff.
  • Compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
    • Experience/strong knowledge with Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs 2380, 6100, and 6400 regulations.
    • An official Office of Developmental Program Certified Investigator is preferred.
    • Superior attention to detail to identify and correct procedures that may put the agency at risk.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to express oneself clearly both speaking and in writing.
    • Must possess a collaborative personality and be open to suggestions from peers.
    • Must have the ability to accurately interpret complex documents and policies.
    • Must be able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
    • Must approach job responsibilities with confidentiality and a high moral/ethical code.

This position is Full-Time - Salary with Employer-paid health and ancillary insurance after 90-day introductory period. Employer contributed Retirement plan after one year of service. Generous paid time off; paid holidays. Salary commensurate with experience.
