Associate Incident Manager/Investigator

Position Description:
The Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC) department at the Barber National Institute has an immediate opening for an Associate Incident Manager/Investigator. 

To be successful in this role, you must perform these essential functions:

  • Ensure that the activities of the initial reporter and the point person have been completed when a reportable incident occurs.
  • Ensure that all designated initial reports are submitted within 24 hours of the incident.
  • Ensure that all required entities are notified when applicable: Aging, APS, OCY, etc.
  • Finalize all incident reports in the EIM system within required timelines.
  • Act as a resource to point people and program directors to review and determine if incidents are reportable and if an investigation is required.
  • Conduct investigations and meet all regulatory timelines in completion of all aspects of the investigation.
  • Assign a Certified Investigator as required and provide feedback and assistance during the course of the investigation as needed.
  • Complete peer reviews on completed investigations as described in the Pennsylvania Certified Investigators Manual
  • Participate in the Incident Management Committee and Investigation Review Committee

Specific Requirements and Preferences:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field, eligibility for Act 33 and Act 34 clearances, and at least one year of experience working with Incident Management in the EIM system.
  • Experience as a Certified Investigator, Point Person and/or Incident Manager preferred with current certification as an Investigator (CI)
  • Proficient at using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
