Position Description:
Access Services is hiring a caring and professional Assistant Director to work in our Community Residential Rehabilitation Services (CRRS), which provides a supportive environment for adults living with mental health challenges. We teach our residents the skills they need to live independently in the community. Services are coordinated with treatment providers and other supports involved in each person’s life. Community Rehabilitation provides a homelike, non-institutional environment, for individuals transitioning from state hospitals into the community. It allows for the maximum opportunity for individuals to have autonomy, independence and self-determination in their care and growth. Community Rehabilitation exists to enable the individuals we serve to move to less restrictive living settings. Our supportive staff assist each person served as needed throughout this process to independence. The Assistant Director will assist in the overall management, organization and daily operation of the program to help ensure that all program objectives are being met and that the services provided meet the needs of those being served. They will also provide supervision to staff assigned to the home, oversee program planning, practice effective case management, and manage all intakes and discharges. 

Role responsibilities:

  • Assist in the overall management and daily operational oversight of the program including program development.
  • Provide regular supervision to all recovery coaches and CPSs working within the MH program.
  • Provide regulatory compliance and assist Director with overseeing the program’s licensing process and inspections.
  • Stay abreast of changes within the system specific to services offered.
  • Conduct and/or assist with consumer intake process.
  • Accountability for the disbursement of funds for facility operations and individual’s personal needs. Maintain accurate, up to date records of such disbursements.
  • Provide weekly supervision and feedback on performance.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of assessments, treatment plans and/or residential service plans.
  • Maintain good communications with county, state offices and other affiliates.
  • Help ensure the implementation of all supports outlined in each individual’s RSP.
  • Work collaboratively with recruitment surrounding staffing needs.
  • Oversee processes associated with staff schedules and use of temporary agency staff.
  • Actively supervise and assist in the resolution of crisis situations and conduct/participate in regular case reviews.
  • Provide program coverage when necessary.
  • This position requires the ability to travel during the course of a normal workday to successfully carry out the expectations of this position including attending offsite meetings, providing services in the community, and providing service oversight and supervision.

Specific Requirements and Preferences:

  • Master’s degree in a related field including social work, psychology, special education or human services required.


  • First Aid and CPR required.


  • Two (2) or more years of experience including a demonstrated progression of increasing supervisory responsibilities and direct work with individuals with severe mental illness or developmental disabilities required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills.
  • Effectively interact with all levels of staff, consumer and families.
  • Person centered planning and the ability to help individuals meet their plan of care objectives.
  • Proficiency in, or ability to learn and use, workplace applications, platforms and technologies including Outlook (Safety, Mimecast/Duo Security), SharePoint, Teams, MITC, Relias, VISTA, Cannon Print, Word, Adobe, Smartphone/iPad, Ring Central, and enkompas service desk ticketing system.
  • Ability to navigate network drives and basic hardware use and troubleshooting. 

Essential Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • Work in a standard office environment.
  • Utilize laptop computer equipment on a daily basis.
  • Able to lift or move items associated with sedentary work and light work (exert up to 20 lbs.) Routinely travel to offsite locations and regional office locations as necessary.
  • May require same physical and lifting requirements as an employee who regularly provides direct care should they be needed to assist.
